Privacy

What is stored

• Your email address, if you suggest a poem or vote by email. It is stored encrypted and never shown anywhere on the site; a hash of it is kept alongside so that one address counts as one vote.
• Your suggestions (title, poet, note) and votes. Once confirmed, suggestions are visible to everyone, but without the author’s address or name.
• Gift-song requests (the occasion, the date, the poem or your own words) are seen only by the channel's owner and never published; a deletion request removes them entirely.
• “I want it as a gift” and “I want it on my wall” marks on published songs. Only the channel's owner sees them, and only as totals. If a printed item appears for that song, those who marked it and agreed to emails get one email.
• The language you confirmed your address in, and whether you agreed to emails about the suggestion — so we write in your language, and only with your consent.
• To stop mass posting, the site counts posts from one IP address and from one email address, and for visit statistics it records the page opened and the site you came from. The addresses themselves are not written down — only a hash, and for IP addresses its salt changes every day.
• Clicks on store links and scans of the QR codes on printed items are counted the same way as page views: no cookies, only an IP hash with a daily salt.
• When Publishing analytics is enabled, Replit also counts page visits and selected interactions: form submission attempts, vote changes, video plays, store-link clicks and language changes. Custom events contain only fixed action labels and the interface language, not email addresses, poem text, request identifiers or confirmation tokens.

Cookies

The site sets only necessary cookies: your language (for a year) and, once you confirm your email, a signed voter number (for a year) so later votes need no email. There are no advertising or analytics cookies. You can remove cookies in your browser’s settings.

How long it is kept

• Unconfirmed suggestions, votes and addresses are deleted within a few days: the link in the email is valid for 48 hours.
• Email links are deleted a day after they are used or expire; the counters that stop mass posting, after two days; the IP hash in visit statistics, after 30 days.
• A confirmed address, suggestions and votes are kept for as long as the site runs, or until you ask for them to be deleted.
• Gift-song requests are deleted entirely 90 days after the song is delivered or the request is declined. Payment and order details are kept by the store, under its own rules.

Other services

Emails are sent by the Resend email service, which receives the recipient’s address and the message. The site and its database are hosted by Replit.

Previews of published songs are loaded from YouTube, and the player (youtube-nocookie.com, with no cookies until a video is played) only when you press a preview. Forms that take an email address are protected from automated posts by Cloudflare Turnstile. Loading them, your browser contacts these services and sends standard connection details, including your IP address. The font is served by this site.

Store links

Sheet music, prints and other items are sold in outside stores — the site itself takes no payment. Some links are affiliate links: if you buy through them, the site may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Unsubscribing and deleting your data

Every email has an “Unsubscribe” link: after it, no more emails, and your votes stay.

To delete your address, votes and “I want it” marks, write from that address to info@embeddedarchitect.tech. We delete them within 30 days and reply. Your suggestions stay on the site, no longer linked to your address.
